Inauguration of Hispanic Library at ULIM

  

On Thursday, June 9th 2011 in the Reading Hall of Romano-Germanic Philology of Free International University of Moldova the Hispanic Library „Miguel Hernández” was inaugurated. This inauguration represents another part of a fruitful cooperation initiated between ULIM and other Hispanic universities. The event was organized with the support of the Lectorate AECID in the Republic of Moldova whose representative at ULIM is Mr. Arturo Cobos Húmera and the Center for International Cooperation headed by Mr. Gerhard Ohrband, vice-rector of ULIM. Special guests from Iasi, Romania: Mr. Jorge Ernesto Gonzales Contreras, Director of Latin America and Caribbean Cultural Center located in Iasi and Ms. Marfa Axenti, production designer at the National Theatre “Vasile Alecsandri” attended the library’s opening. They came with an impressive donation of Spanish books.

Launch of the book „With smile, sadness and love” written by Kiril Kovaldji

  

On Monday, June 6th, in the Reading Hall nr.3 of Romano-Germanic Philology, the launch of the book „With smile, sadness and love” took place. The author of this book is the Russian writer Kiril Kovaldji that visited ULIM. The event was organized within the project „Radio of the 21st century. People’s Land – Human House”. The premiere of the documentary film „The Wedding” (Nunta) directed by Angela Enache was presented too. Mr. Sandu Aristin-Cupcea, Director of the Cultural Centre „POLY-ART” and Ms. Elena Prus, Director of the Institute of Philological and Intercultural Researches, professors and students took part to this event organized in cooperation with the Centre of Russian Culture.
